Inserting & document preparation

New! CMS announces creation of a new mail stop for inserting and document preparation services. The new mail stop is 41055. Please send all materials requiring these services, including envelopes to be stocked, to mail stop 41055.

We have automation and staff available for inserting, folding, labeling, bursting, trimming, and self-mailer services which allow state agencies to save time and staff resources that would normally be used to perform these operations.

Inserting

Our machines can handle both intelligent (continuous form, up to 11 sheets) and cut sheet inserts of up to six pieces per envelope. They can also accommodate mixed weight mailings (20# to 90# paper) and stapled mailings of up to four sheets (20# paper, staples must be in the upper left or middle left of pages).

Labeling

We can attach labels to envelopes, post cards and flats. The labels should be 80-800mm in length, 80-370mm in width, single row, and continuous feed with or without perforations on the sheet.

Insert or fold jobs

should be accompanied by a cover sheet or "pink slip" with the following information:

  • The type of work requested
  • Number of pieces per envelope
  • Sample of the finished job
  • Disposition of the finished job and any leftover components
  • A contact name and phone number for questions concerning the job

Whenever possible, use tabs instead of staples on mailings to minimize the possibility of damage to machinery and injury to mail handlers.
