New rules adopted - use of the public areas of the Capitol Campus
General Administration is responsible for care, custody and control of the Capitol Campus. General Administration is charged with balancing the functional requirements of state government operations with public access and the long-term preservation needs of the campus properties.
The objective of this rule-making effort is to clarify policy regarding how General Administration will consider appropriate time, place and manner criteria in evaluating and approving requests for use of the public areas of the Capitol Campus.
These new rules amend Chapter 236-12 State capitol grounds traffic and parking regulations and establish a new chapter under Title 236 WAC General Administration, regarding use of the public areas of the capitol buildings and grounds.
