In the heart of downtown, the Tacoma Rhodes Center is a state owned complex with two office buildings and a large parking garage, all connected by sky bridges. Originally the Rhodes Department Store, the historic complex was renovated in 1980 by the University of Puget Sound. The state purchased the property and completed a comprehensive renovation on the Broadway Building in 2001.
The Center boasts 174,000 square feet of office space, a 550-car parking garage, heated and fenced indoor storage space.
We house multiple state and local government agencies and have set aside on-site retail space, including a branch of the Washington State Employees Credit Union.
