Surplus Property Bulletin #309-12-05

The State of Washington has declared its interest in a shellfish hatchery site located at 1000 Point Whitney Road, Brinnon, Washington surplus to its needs and is soliciting for the lease of the property.
 
Responses to this disposal bulletin shall have the following priority:

  1. State Agencies
  2. All other governmental entities, including Federally Recognized Indian Tribes
  3. Governmental Non-profit entities
  4. Private Sector and Private Non-profit entities

Closing Date:  January 19, 2007

Property Description:  The property encompasses 4.4 acres, including .5 acres of fenced upland property and another 3.9 acres of two marine ponds and constructed dikes.  The property contains a 1,612 square foot metal nursery building, one floating upwelling rearing system, two concrete larvae ponds; a saltwater intake vault (minus the pumps), three fiberglass larvae rearing tanks, shared access to a 150 kilowatt standby generator, a small heated office space, and associated water distribution and drain systems. Costs of utilities will be shared.

Any lease document resulting from this bulletin will be drafted on the State of Washington’s standard lease form and subject to approval by all appropriate State Agencies.  


The State of Washington reserves the right to choose which proposal, in its opinion, best meets its needs.    The state reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to cancel this bulletin and/or reject any or all proposals.
