General Information

Heritage Center

The Heritage Center will provide a permanent on-campus home for the State Archives and State Library collections. In addition, there will be a K-12 learning center, exhibit hall, museum, event center and auditorium.

Several floors will be constructed into the hillside near the current location of the General Administration Building, creating stepped terraces that overlook Capitol Lake.

For more information about the vision for the Heritage Center, visit the Office of the Secretary of State Web site.

Executive Office Building

To bring those officials displaced by the 2001 Nisqually earthquake back to the Capitol Campus and help improve public access to these officials, the Executive Office Building will house statewide elected officials and their executive staff.

The site will be between 11th Avenue and Columbia Street, currently home to the GA Building. The building is carefully positioned so as not to interfere with the view from Capitol Lake.
